The teachers and students of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University went to Germany to study in the Royal School in Salem during the summer vacation

From July 10 to 19, 2015, under the leadership of two teachers, Cheng Huiyun and Cao Pei, 19 senior high School students from Tsinghua High School went to Salem High School (hereinafter referred to as Salem High School) for a ten-day exchange study。

On July 13, Germany time, Salem High School held a warm welcome dinner in Haerlen, the senior High School, to welcome the teachers and students of Tsinghua High School, and the two sides presented souvenirs to each other。During the exchange, Salem High School arranged a variety of visits and learning activities for the teachers and students of Tsinghua High School to observe the curriculum of Salem High School。Students were very interested in the comprehensive practical courses offered by Salem Middle School, because students can fully exercise their hands-on skills in the class。In addition, the teachers and students also visited Munich, Lake Constance and other nearby scenic spots, fully appreciate the beautiful scenery and customs of Europe。

Salem High School is located in southern Germany scenic Baden Lake, was founded in 1920, is Germany's largest, the best quality of teaching high school。Its founders included Max von Baden, the last chancellor of the German Empire, the politician and educator Kurt Hann, and Carl Reinhard, the Prussian Cabinet Minister of Culture。Salem Middle School focuses on developing students' hands-on skills and demands strict and fair discipline。So for more than 80 years, with the exception of its forced closure during World War II, Salem High School has expanded and produced a succession of useful talents。

The teachers and students said the trip benefited a lot。Through this exchange activity, I increased my knowledge, understood the local culture and customs, and formed a deep friendship with the students of Salem Middle School。Based on the principle of reciprocity, German teachers and students will pay a return visit to Tsinghua High School in October 2015。
